AI-drafted, inspector-signed: how InspectView turns a five-hour write-up into one or two
Our sister company built the AI assistant our own inspectors wanted. What it does, what it refuses to do, and why the signature stays human.
Why we built it
Our inspectors were finishing a four-hour borescope and then spending the evening in a hotel room sorting hundreds of files into stages, typing findings and looking up limits. InspectView, built by the team behind JTech Turbines, takes that part away. It is now the software every JTech report is produced in — and it is available to other inspection teams at inspectview.io.
What the AI does
- Sorts photos and video by engine position — fan, LPC 1–4, HPC, HPT, LPT — the way your folders already work.
- Flags candidate findings: cracks, coating loss, nicks, dents and wear, and pulls the applicable manual limit.
- Drafts the finding text and the report; fills the QEC inventory from voice-called part numbers.
- Works offline on the phone in the hangar and syncs when the connection comes back.
What it does not do
It does not decide. Every finding is a draft until the inspector confirms it, changes it or deletes it. It does not sign; the signature, the credentials and the responsibility belong to the human who was on the engine. And it does not own your data: reports are encrypted, isolated per customer, downloadable as PDF, and they belong to the operator.
What it means for the client
Faster reports with the same signature, findings cited against the manual, footage you can navigate by stage, and a QEC Excel in your own layout. Same inspector, same judgement, afternoons back.
Does InspectView replace the inspector?
No. It is an assistant. It sorts, drafts and fills forms; the inspector checks, edits and signs.
Which borescopes does it work with?
Any video probe that outputs standard USB video, MP4/H.264 video or JPEG stills — including the Waygate Everest XL and Mentor Visual iQ families we use.
Can my own technicians use it?
Yes. InspectView is sold as software to operators, MROs and inspection teams. Book a demo at inspectview.io.
